jorge antonio losoya (he/him) was born and raised in del rio, texas along the texas – mexico borderlands. he has a bachelor’s in geography from ut austin and holds a m.s. in community and regional planning and m.a. in latin american studies from ut austin. creatively, jorge is interested in exploring his identity as a queer child of the border through themes of horror, science fiction, and ecology. he is also interested in expanding artistic methodologies in the disaster and hazard planning field. typically, jorge works with pencil, colored pencils, markers, and digital art. when he’s not drawing, you can find jorge cooking, playing video games, or reading.
