jo alvarado (she/they) is a queer pilipinx poet with an affinity for sun romanticisms. she received her b.a. in english and comparative literature from uc berkeley and is now based in the san francisco bay area. jo was a finalist for button poetry’s chapbook poetry prize, and their written work has been featured in marias at sampaguitas, counterclock, and depth cues. they can always be found with a book in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
