jessica bell (she/her), or j. bell as she mostly prefers to be called, is an mfa student at hollins university in roanoke, virginia. her work focuses on dysfunctional relationships and trauma, mainly how it changes memory over time. she is interested in experimentation. j. bell is also a visual artist who enjoys the works of dead guys like vincent van gogh, johannes vermeer, and gustav klimt, and she is an avid listener of taylor swift and halsey. she is a mom to two dogs (whom she frequently writes about) that are named after two of the greatest fictional men of all time: percy jackson and finnick o’dair (it is important to note that finnick is spelled “phinnick” as all of her animals’ names must begin with the same letter).
